A customer approached Yongxin Autoparts with a request to customize a Ball Joints and linkage type of chassis parts. At that time, there were still relatively few companies manufacturing such products. "Don't be deceived by the simple structure of this part, which is composed of only a ball seat and a Ball Joints, but it is not easy to perfectly replicate the sample provided by the customer," said Hu Gaoqiang, the deputy head of the chassis parts project R&D department of Yongxin Autoparts. On one hand, there are very high requirements for the selection and pre-treatment of materials for the Ball Joint and seat; on the other hand, the product requires extremely high precision in size processing, which must be perfectly fitted to achieve a low torque and durable performance. Since torque and durability are inversely proportional, it requires R&D personnel to continuously experiment to find the optimal solution. To overcome the difficulties, the company cooperated with a well-known enterprise, introducing advanced technologies on the basis of product function development, innovating technological processes, and finally producing a product that satisfied the customer.
